Because we build the worlds we wouldn't mind living in. They contain scary things, problems, but also a sense of rightness that makes them alive and makes us want to live there. ~Anne McCaffrey
Molly O'Brien is having a bad day. For starters she realizes she is late, and the kind of late that only girls can be late for. She had a fling with a vampire, grant you he was tall, dark and handsome, but still she should have known better. This vampire especially should have been hands-off, since he is a pureblood and if the son of the leader of the mafia-like vampire group that makes the human mafia look like kittens. Molly maybe a fire witch, and a pretty great thief, she was no match for the good looking Christopher LaMorte.
This novella is a short glimpse into a world that lives parallel to our own. It felt like a lover's tease that leaves you wanting even more This story is written in a direct to the point matter that doesn't get the reader lost in the fluff of details. Molly is likable even if she is a criminal and seems to have human characteristics that readers will relate to, such as the dread chore of paying bills. Readers will be breathlessly waiting for the next story to written and shared by the author Ella Grey, as soon as possible, please.
